Lazy Prints
Starting my own business was always a dream and a great ambition of mine and that’s how, with a lot of work and dedication, Lazy Prints was opened on December 2020. The concept of the brand is quite straight to the point: fun, uncomplicated, and aesthetically pleasing designs that are unfolded in a range different materials - from posters and greeting cards, to tote bags. With over 35 original designs, Lazy Prints – even as a new and small business –, has already impacted an audience that seems to enjoy its products as much as I enjoy making them.

Lazy Print’s brand design should reflect the brand’s language visually, therefore minimalist shapes and non-serif fonts, as well as black and white as the main brand colours , were some of the essential assets for its development.
Color Palette
As mentioned. Lazy Prints’ main colours are black&white but the presence of vibrant colours are essential to keep the brand’s communication fun and modern. The use of gifs is present throughout the platforms as a way to explore all of the different tones, as well as to keep things dynamic.

With 5 different prints, Lazy Prints’ tote bags have proven to be our main product – and as expected since tote bags have just recently started to create an impact on Brazilians costumers.

Greeting Cards
For Lazy Prints’ greeting cards. it was major that more than one collection was presented to our costumers, so that we would attract a bigger number of people to the brand, but while always keeping the identity unified and stable. That’s why “Te Amo Mais Que…” (I Love You More Than…), Star Signs, and Movie Quotes greeting cards collections were created for.

Product Packaging
What is surviving in a small e-commerce business era if not with well made, “instagrammable” packaging? But just like our brand’s motto, we chose to keep it simple and fun with our packaging: black and white recycled plastic bag + colourful stickers + personalised card for with a special note from us to the costumer.

Lazy Prints’ website focus on great product imagery, intuitive online consumer shopping, and a reliable shopping platform. Costumers are more encouraged to buy the products from our official website than on our social platforms.

As a small business, having a good and reliable looking Instagram account is key, and on Lazy Prints we believe that a good and organic feed is the perfect solution to that scenario. We encourage our costumers to share pictures with us of their Lazy Prints’ experiences, whereas it is on the beach, the local gym, or in a special little corner at home.
Final Considerations
Opening a business in Brazil is no easy task, but one that my heart told me to take all of my chances with. Lazy Prints took a little over two years to get out of my mind and into reality, and it has really showed me that determination and hard work, when together, can give you the strength you never know you had. My sister is also part of Lazy Prints’ success and development , since her help as a business administration bachelor’s degree came in handy when so many different challenges and disappointments came to be a part of the journey. Lazy Prints proved me that graphic design is cooler and more fun when shared with other people, and I love that I get to continue to do so everyday. “If you can dream it. You can do it.”, right?
